Acceptable Use Policy

1. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") governs your use of Zadro.AI's B2B lead intelligence service ("Service"). This policy exists to protect the Service, our users, and the public from abusive or harmful conduct.

By using the Service, you agree to comply with this AUP in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Permitted Use

The Service is designed for legitimate business intelligence purposes. Permitted uses include:

  • Sales Qualification: Researching B2B companies to prepare for outreach and discovery calls
  • Lead Enrichment: Enhancing CRM data with company intelligence and strategic context
  • Account Planning: Preparing strategic sales briefs for existing or prospective customers
  • Market Research: Analyzing industry trends, competitive landscapes, and market opportunities
  • Business Development: Identifying potential partners, vendors, or acquisition targets

3. Prohibited Activities

3.1 Illegal Activities

You may not use the Service to:

  • Violate any local, state, national, or international law or regulation
  • Engage in fraudulent activities or misrepresentation
  • Infringe intellectual property rights of others
  • Violate privacy laws including GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM, or TCPA
  • Conduct unauthorized background checks or consumer reports regulated by FCRA
  • Facilitate identity theft or impersonation

3.2 Abusive or Harmful Conduct

You may not use the Service to:

  • Harass, stalk, threaten, or intimidate individuals or organizations
  • Conduct surveillance, espionage, or competitive intelligence gathering that violates laws or ethical standards
  • Target individuals for spam, phishing, or unsolicited marketing
  • Dox individuals or publish private information without consent
  • Discriminate against protected classes in employment, housing, credit, or other contexts
  • Generate intelligence for illegal debt collection or coercive practices

3.3 Service Abuse

You may not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service
  • Circumvent technical safeguards, rate limits, or access controls
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to abuse the public demo beyond posted limits
  • Submit inputs designed to inject malicious code, crash the Service, or exploit vulnerabilities
  • Overload or interfere with Service infrastructure through excessive requests
  • Share API keys with unauthorized third parties or use keys obtained fraudulently
  • Create multiple accounts to circumvent rate limits or trial restrictions

3.4 Content Violations

You may not submit research requests for:

  • Generic email domains (gmail.com, yahoo.com, outlook.com, etc.) that do not represent businesses
  • Domains hosting illegal content or associated with criminal enterprises
  • Domains you do not have a legitimate business reason to research
  • Domains with the intent to harm the reputation of individuals or businesses

3.5 Resale and Competitive Use

You may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute raw Service outputs as a competing intelligence product
  • Use the Service to build a competitive lead intelligence platform
  • Systematically extract Service data to create derivative databases for sale
  • White-label the Service without an explicit partnership agreement

You may incorporate Service outputs into your business processes, client deliverables, and internal workflows.

3.6 Misrepresentation

You may not:

  • Misrepresent your identity or affiliation when using the Service
  • Impersonate another person or organization
  • Falsely claim endorsement or partnership with Zadro.AI
  • Provide fraudulent payment information or billing details

4. Rate Limits and Fair Use

4.1 Technical Limits

The Service implements rate limits to ensure system stability:

  • API Requests: 100 requests per minute per organization
  • Public Demo: 3 free searches per session without authentication
  • Concurrent Requests: 5 simultaneous requests per API key

Exceeding these limits may result in temporary throttling or HTTP 429 responses.

4.2 Fair Use Principles

Beyond technical limits, we expect users to exercise fair use:

  • Do not generate excessive requests that degrade Service performance for others
  • Do not intentionally bypass caching to force fresh intelligence generation
  • Space out bulk research requests rather than submitting hundreds simultaneously
  • Use appropriate subscription tiers for your usage volume

We reserve the right to define "excessive" or "abusive" usage at our discretion based on system impact and patterns.

5. Security Responsibilities

5.1 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and API keys
  • Using strong, unique passwords for your account
  • Promptly reporting unauthorized access or suspicious activity
  • Revoking compromised API keys immediately
  • Ensuring only authorized personnel access your organization's account

5.2 Responsible Disclosure

If you discover a security vulnerability in the Service:

  • Report it to security@zadro.ai immediately
  • Do not exploit the vulnerability or access unauthorized data
  • Do not publicly disclose the vulnerability until we have addressed it
  • Provide reasonable time for us to remediate before public disclosure

We appreciate responsible security research and will work with you to address valid vulnerabilities.

6. Data Accuracy and Verification

While the Service provides confidence scoring and source attribution, you acknowledge that:

  • AI-generated intelligence may contain errors, outdated information, or omissions
  • Public information sources may be inaccurate or incomplete
  • You are responsible for verifying information before relying on it for business decisions
  • The Service is not a substitute for professional due diligence or legal advice

Do not use Service outputs as the sole basis for high-stakes decisions (employment, credit, legal actions) without independent verification.

7. Reporting Violations

7.1 How to Report

If you become aware of violations of this AUP, please report them to:

  • Email: abuse@zadro.ai
  • Subject Line: "AUP Violation Report"
  • Include: Description of violation, evidence (URLs, screenshots), your contact information

7.2 Investigation

We will:

  • Review all reports promptly and in good faith
  • Investigate suspected violations confidentially
  • Take appropriate action based on findings
  • Notify you of the outcome if you provided contact information

8. Enforcement and Remedies

8.1 Violation Response

If you violate this AUP, we may take the following actions at our discretion:

  • Warning: Email notification of violation with request to cease conduct
  • Temporary Suspension: Account disabled for 30 days pending review
  • Rate Limiting: Reduced request limits for excessive or abusive usage
  • Feature Restriction: Limited access to specific Service features
  • Account Termination: Permanent closure of account for serious or repeated violations
  • Legal Action: Pursuit of civil or criminal remedies for illegal conduct

8.2 Appeals Process

If your account is suspended or terminated, you may appeal by:

  • Emailing legal@zadro.ai within 14 days
  • Providing a detailed explanation of the circumstances
  • Demonstrating how you will prevent future violations

We will review appeals within 10 business days. Our decision is final.

8.3 No Refunds for Violations

If your account is suspended or terminated for AUP violations, you are not entitled to refunds for unused subscription time or credits.

8.4 Cooperation with Law Enforcement

We cooperate with law enforcement agencies investigating illegal activity. We may disclose account information and usage data in response to valid legal requests, subpoenas, or court orders.

9. Updates to This Policy

We may modify this AUP at any time to address new risks, legal requirements, or Service changes. Material changes will be announced via:

  • Email notification to your registered address
  • Dashboard notice upon login
  • Updated "Last Updated" date at the top of this page

Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated AUP.

10. Disclaimer

This AUP does not create any third-party rights or obligations. We are not responsible for monitoring all user activity or preventing all violations. Our enforcement actions are at our sole discretion and do not constitute an endorsement of any particular content or conduct.
